We’re still teaching Design and Innovation at DTU: A course for the spring semester. And right now, we’re preparing for it.
When we’ve had a six-month break from DTU, as is the case right now, we’re itching to get back and meet the next batch of stars in the program who will design the future.
We’re currently preparing for the start of the course. Specifically, we’re looking for some good cases for the students to work with. As usual, the assignment is for the students to be given some physical products they will have to re-design during the course.
As inventors, preparation is always an exciting process. What products need to be looked at in a new light to become more innovative?
This is where we reach out to different companies and ask them to collaborate with the students. Of course, we can’t guarantee they’ll get a groundbreaking new design. On the other hand, it’s free for them to participate, and at the very least, it’s a chance to get a fresh look at what their products could look like.
Fortunately, most are happy to make their products available – and we’re already looking forward to see the results of the process next summer.
