Diving into our Process: Phase 3 – Functional models

Closing in on the invention’s final form, material and features

This is where the product and concept really starts to take shape. We are pretty locked in on the general features and design, but there is still a lot of quirks to smoothen out before it’s ready for the market.

We spend a lot of time in the workshop, experimenting with how the main functions and sub-functions can be carried out in practice.

In parallel with physical modelling, we consider how manufacturing, construction, economy, sustainability, and aesthetics can play together – and how each possibility affects the others.

The phase ends with the involvement of project stakeholders to discuss and select a final concept.
